Hayley Reardon: A Solo Performance
Coming off two sold out performances at the legendary Club Passim this is a show not to be missed.
A portion of the proceeds from this concert will benefit the New England Folk Music Archives. Produced by Last Dance Productions.
Only 40 seats will be sold for this very intimate concert!
Since her showcase at the International Folk Alliance in February 2010, Hayley Reardon has exploded onto the stage of folk music. In addition to being featured in the recently released “For the Love of the Music” Club 47 documentary and producing her first full length LP, she has developed an in-school performance program, “Find Your Voice,” to encourage peer empowerment through self-expression. Hayley’s new release, “Where the Artists Go,” is, in her own words, the product of the “focus on what I wanted to say with my arts sense of freedom that folk empowers me to say it the way I want to.”
“Reardon is taking the folk scene by storm.” WBUR
“She is certainly a bright star on the horizon, a glorious addition to the future of acoustic music.” Performer Mag
“Reardon definitely has an old soul, and her dedication to her art shows in Where the Artists Go, an impressive debut.” Candor News
“Where the Artists Go can be cast as coming of age thoughts riding on a sea of song. There is a unique world view and an everyman way of describing the scene that makes these songs sing.” The Alternate Root
Recently naming her a 2012 “Bostonian Of The Year”, The Boston Globe characterized her as…”a confident, radiant teenage singer/songwriter who is helping to pen the next chapter of the Boston folk scene…while Reardon is rapidly making a name for herself under the stage lights, it could be said that she’s having a bigger impact on her peers across the country as a leading spokesperson for bullying prevention. By pairing her music with a message of collective responsibility, she has become an effective teen-to-teen ambassador, sought after by schools nationwide.”
“When you listen to 17-year-old folk singer Hayley Reardon, it’s hard to identify what’s more impressive: the fact that she’s already considered a seasoned folk artist or that she’s a national spokesperson for PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. In any event, both are laudable facts that dovetail nicely on her debut album Where The Artists Go.
Les Sampou is a blues/rock musician, who got her start n the Boston folk scene and now has moved on to national prominence and acclaim. She has just released her new record “Lonesomeville”.

The Last Waltz. On Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, the legendary rock group THE BAND performed The Last Waltz, their “farewell concert appearance” at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco CA. The concert saw The Band joined by more than a dozen all star special guests, many of whom were and are considered the living legends of their time. This historic event was captured by director Martin Scorsese and made into a concert film of the same name released in 1978. The performances captured on film that night were magical and the movie has achieved a cult classic status amongst many musicians today. It continues to be a major source of inspiration to all who see it.
Some of the profits from this concert benefit Music In Common, whose mission is to strengthen, empower, and educate communities through the universal language of music. The Last Waltz supplies the perfect soundtrack to bring musicians together and strengthen that common bond. The Last Waltz LIVE is a celebration of that spirit.

This year’s event will feature of the best of voices and musicians from Canada and the US.
The Music
The Lucky Sisters (Allison Lupton, Rosemary Phelan, and Tannis Slimmon) have brought their individual talents (from their own solo careers) to comprise this exquisite and ethereal vocal harmony group. From Cambridge, Toronto, and Guelph, Ontario, they’ll be making their first U.S. appearance.
We’re tremendously lucky to have Paul Mills, who has produced many hundreds of masterful recordings, and is a folk icon in Canada, make the trip southwards for the night. Paul, who is producing The Lucky Sisters upcoming album, will accompany the gals as well as others through the night.
Healing Garden stalwart and fave Kelli Trottier will bring her singing, fiddling, and stepdancing self down from Kingston, Ontario for her fifth Waltham appearance.
Rebecca Hosking, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, will be unveiling her latest CD at our special event. Scott Neubert, another Nashville resident (and Healing Garden staple) will accompany Rebeca and others in the show.
We’re also delighted to present local artist Angela Simonneli for her first Healing Garden special Guest appearance. You may be familiar with Angela from her Red Line Radio rock group. It wouldn’t be a HG fest without Mr. Versatility and Dependability, Matt Leavenworth to provide his accompaniment. We’ll be enjoying the night of festive music at the French Club in Waltham.

About Patio Records
The Mary Eagan Garden Fund was created in memory of Mary (1947-1992), who succumbed to Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Mary, a mother of four children, requested that any monies raised in her honor be directed towards building a patio for future patients’ well-being during their times of receiving cancer treatments.
While working with local hospitals towards patio construction, a concurrent pursuit is the universalization of the concept of having such a facility be part of an overall treatment plan for those unfortunate to be so afflicted. The Waltham (MA) Hospital embraced this goal, and on April 27th, 2001, saw the opening ceremony and ribbon cuttting of the magnificent Mary Eagan Garden adjoining the Cancer Care Center; providing a setting of comfort and solace for people who our hearts go out to.
The first Mary Eagan Garden in Canada was opened within the the 4.5 acre Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park in Ottawa on September 24, 2008.
Annual Benefit Concerts have led the way as a fundraising vehicle. To date, Patio Records has hosted nearly 40 events in New England and Canada, featuring lineups of Canadian and U.S. virtuosos. These exceptional musicians have been enthusiastic in response to the concert series.
